Our Puppy Pick Process

Welcome, we are so excited to have you come to this point in your search for a new family member.

Its time to start your journey to adoption

As you saw on our Health Guarantee Page, we have taken many steps while our mommas mature and grow before we get to the birth of a bundle of beautiful puppies. Now that a particular momma has proven herself to be a balanced companion with genetic, health and structure qualities that are not just average but premium to our standards we have found her the perfect complimenting sire. So we have now made a decision of two parents that we have evaluated either thru-ought life or worked with a trusted colleague.

Puppy arrival notes

  • Once puppies arrive we give momma 3 days to just be a mom
  • We do not remove dew claws, I weigh puppies and tend to mom.
  • 72 hours after whelping Ezrah and I start ENS.

Just as the Dams lifestyle leading up to pregnancy and whelping is critical, we do not see the benefit of stressing puppies and mothers to do anything such as dew claw removal or individual puppy photos before puppies are 3 days old. Even after 3 days our families won’t receive individual pictures and litter names until 1 week of age. this is a quick picture done during weighing with the mother close and ready to nurse. it is so important to us to keep all stress levels low. My job for the first 2 weeks is to keep our momma happy healthy and fed, areas clean and puppy nails trimmed. Providing her with any nutrients she wants as well as keeping a clean box. I share a room with momma during the first weeks of life, our mommas have always treated me as a coparent, which is such a beautiful gift to be accepted and trusted so lovingly during such a beautiful precious time.

Are you on the adoption list?

Puppies are born and you are in love, one even is pulling on your heart strings with a chunky belly and all the sweet snuggles. If your are not following us on Social Media during puppy raising times you are missing out! I am bias of course but my daughter makes it her priority to do every step as I have taught her using Puppy Culture and she is undoubtably cuter than me doing it. My son also has reading time with the puppies and that boys gentle nature will melt your heart. So if you have fallen in love with a litter make sure you know what steps to take.

  • Veterinary health & wellness clearance and first round of vaccinations @7 weeks.

It goes too fast! I know if you are looking for a puppy to come home right now it seems like it will take forever, when week 7 arrives I’m always devastated it went so fast. Week 7 is huge and very busy. we stop a lot of daily curriculum because we have a full groom and microchip day, vet wellness check and first vaccines along with temperament evaluations. This may not seem like a lot but it’s emotionally stressful for myself, my kids and the puppies. We know go home day is near, so after long hectic days we have lots of cuddles leading up to PICK DAY!

If you are on our list you have received weekly updates with pictures of the entire litter as well as extra info on puppies you have expressed interest in or that I feel will fit your family. Ultimately the decisions is determined by the family and the order of the list, but I do a lot of daily notes and evaluations on each puppy and trust me, I want you matched with what is in the puppy and the family’s best interest. I will have had an initial phone call or facetime with you to determine if our program is the best fit for your overall expectations. Upon excepting your verbal waitlist spot I started a log of what essential needs from top priority to wants that fit your adoption search. So when pick day arrives I have analyzed puppy from birth leading up to pick day. I factored in vet wellness check and puppy temperament evaluation, with the addition of the puppies personal genetic panel for any coat needs. This is all presented to you on pick day and we make the exciting decision of your new family member. Once you have made your pick your contract is sent and your deposit is taken of $500.00 this elevates any unforeseen life issue that could arise because your puppy will be coming home within 2 weeks. final payment will be collected at pick up of $2500.00. We do offer our Star Puppy discount, which is $200 off your puppy and $200 paid directly to your trainer when you have a licensed trainer and the Star puppy class set up before you take your puppy home.
